ALEC are looking for a Business Support Officer to support our recent expansion into the Qatar Market. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to provide generalist human resources advice and support to project personnel. A key element of the job will be to co-ordinate transactions with the Department of Immigration and Ministry of Labour and perform related administrative and public relations functions.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing visas for Qatar based employees including arranging medicals, work permits and other activities as required
- Maintain administrative records and human resources files
- Building strong relationships with key Government Departments such as the Ministry of Labour and Department of Immigration
- Assist with mobilization activities as necessary
- Filing of returns or other information as stipulated by law
- Monitor developments in labour and immigration law and develop measures to implement and manage these
- Preparation of monthly management reports
- Development of a transparent process for managing all mobilization activities
- Provide administrative support as necessary
Key Requirements/Attributes
- Must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the relevant legislation in Qatar
- 3 to 5 years experience in Immigration and Ministry of Labour related activities including the management of all files, data and on line systems
- Tertiary qualifications preferably in law, business or human resource management
- Fluent in Arabic and English (verbal and written)
- A proven capacity to develop strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Highly developed communication skills
- A capacity to work under pressure and deal with multiple priorities
- A flexible and results driven approach to their role
- Ability to work autonomously
