Evaluation - Planning Manager - Qatar Foundation - Doha
To plan, coordinate and direct all business planning preparation activities for the Foundation
To initiate and participate in the formulation of Foundation’s Business strategies, Foundation’s objectives, an short and long term plans
To develop a methodology that helps in determining the optimum plans for future expansion of activities
To develop strategic decision making tools, guidelines and support materials to enable formulation of relevant business plans and build skills in planning and performance management
To establish, direct and supervise the planning and performance system in the foundation for Centers and Directorates
To develop and maintain systems to capture and report performance information system for performance data across QF
To provide analysis and recommendations to support senior management decision making
To help provide clarity to QF entities on QF’s overall strategic direction, as required
To plan, supervise, and direct the activities of staff in the section
Key Result Areas:
To plan and direct the formulation of long and short termØ
To design and institute a planning system for the Foundation’s various entitiesØ
Ø To direct the preparation and implementation of various monitoring and control methods for reporting on actual performance throughout the year against approved plans.
To analyse and report on the extent and significance of variations between results and targets.Ø
Ø To implement the required practices to ensure that QF dutifully and effectively evaluates the impact of its entities and initiatives
To keep updated on technological developments inØ relation to planning and performance platforms
To follow up international developments in the field of education and technology and transfer relevance to QFØ
To develop and maintains planning models and frameworks that can support decision makingØ
To provide comprehensive frameworks that can assist the President and Board in taking strategicØ decisions
To raise the level of organizational awareness of the importance of managing through strategic plansØ
To ensure coordination betweenØ business plans and financial and manpower plans
To develop and implement initiatives to improve planning practices and competencies throughout theØ organization
To develop a performance management platform that can store and easily report performance dataØ
Skills
Minimum 10 years prior experience in similarØ position in strategic planning preferably in Educational Organizations
MBA graduate with strong economic and financial backgroundØ
Ø Must have prior experience in project evaluation, financial evaluation, benchmarking, external business analysis, and business development
Fluency in English (written and oral); Arabic is preferred.Ø
Ø Computer literacy: MS windows applications (word processing, excel, spreadsheets…).
